Abstract
One of the major problems affecting Technical Educational Institutions is the increasing misalignment between the needs of society, reflected through the needs of Industry, Research Establishments, Government departments and the like, and the output provided by these institutions. The commonly heard complaint is that Technical Educational Institutions, especially Engineering Colleges, and Polytechnics are churning out students with diplomas or degrees, but who are unable to make a meaningful contribution to society in any role, without further in-depth inputs.
